2009 CWF Touch Rugby Tournament Schedule
This is the (hopefully final) schedule for a 7-team pool play tournament,
which will seed a single-elimination tournament that will determine
the 1st and 2nd place teams. All teams will make the bracket.
The first place team from pool play will receive a bye in the first
round of the bracket.
All games will start **ON TIME**
Play will commence when the whistle blows, regardless if your team is ready or not
Each team will play four games during pool play
Win-loss records will determine the seeding for the single-elimination bracket
All games in pool play will end in regulation time
If the score is tied at the end of regulation, it will be recorded as a tie game
Wins earn 3 points
Ties earn 1 point
Loses earn 0 points
The following criteria will be used for seeding purposes and to break ties:
- Total points earned
- Points earned against common opponents
- Total tries scored
- Coin flip
The team listed on the left is the home team, and gets to call the coin flip
for choice of initial tap or goal to defend
The team that loses the flip gets choice at the start of the 2nd half
Each game will consist of two halves, of 7 1/2 minutes each
There will be no half time, just enough time for the team that lost
the initial coin toss to make their selection of tap or goal to defend
There will be 5 minutes between games
